Who are Ed and Jason? Edward Glass and Jason Paetz first teamed up in the early 80’s when the two were teammates on their elementary school's soccer team. They didn’t know it at the time, but that experience would become the foundation for E&J Entertainment.
As youngsters on the soccer field they were taught (and embraced) the culture of artistry – performing with rhythmic expression, creative execution, and unified balance. They also learned the bases of good teamwork: to anticipate each others actions, to complement each others skills, and to improve upon each others ideas. Yet most of all, they learned that only through diligent practice and preparation can anything regarded as beautiful (like soccer or your special event) be produced.
Fast-forward to today and the presence of those lessons can still be felt. From the meticulous wedding reception planning guide and in-person planning sessions, to the stunning visual effects and dynamic audio catalog (which includes over 10,000 songs!), E&J Entertainment is committed to creating a memorable and spectacular event.
About the DJ’s Edward is a longtime resident of Michigan. Originally born in Ohio, he grew up in Saginaw (later moved to Detroit) and immediately embraced all that Michigan had to offer: cherries from Traverse City, trips to Mackinaw Island, every sports team – even the Lions, and of course the Motown sound. As the years passed, and after a lengthy stay in Minneapolis, Minnesota where he received a degree in Marketing and worked for a local radio station (further fueling his love for music), and a brief stay in New York where he wrote for ChillTown Magazine, he returned to the Motor City. Currently Edward is a sports and entertainment journalist in Metro Detroit.
Jason is another product of Saginaw, Michigan. He cut his DJ teeth in the mid-1990s during his time at Alma College, where he hosted a radio show for four years and also took great pride in DJing fraternity parties. After receiving a degree in Spanish, Jason took a job teaching high school Spanish at Frankenmuth High School. He currently leads a hectic double-life, acting as a full-time teaching professional during the week, and hitting the DJ turntables on weekends and throughout the summer. He currently resides in Frankenmuth with his wife, 2 kids and 3 mutts.
